HEALTHY EATING TIPS

If you are following a healthily lifestyle, you don't have to go without your curry fix, as our Curry Kits are suitable for the health conscious eaters

Here in the Curry with Love hub, we pride ourselves on creating a range of authentic Curry Kits that are healthy, yet do not compromise on taste

Our top tips on creating a healthy curry are to choose the tomato based Curry Kits to start

Use a healthy oil (such as coconut), or ditch the oil altogether and mix spice pack 1 (ground spices) with a little water to create a paste

Choose only lean cuts of meat, or alternatively stick to fish / prawns or vegetables

Watch your portion size... Don't overeat!

CUT BACK ON THE CARBS

We all know that rice goes well with curry, but if you're cutting back on the carbs this year, don't despair

A great alternative is to use cauliflower...seriously!

Take a head of cauliflower (trimmed of it's leaves) grate it just like you would a block of cheese

Lightly oil a frying pan and over a low-med heat, fry the cauliflower rice to heat. Don't overcook it, it should still have a bite

You can always make Pilau 'Cauliflower' Rice by using one of our kits Pilau Rice

We do have an awful lot of Customers that are following a Slimming World Diet (or similar)

These kits are totally adaptable to fit in with your healthy eating plan

Use either your spray oil or water to cook off your spices. Remember to keep the heat low so they don't burn

Our large range of tomato based curries can be made virtually SYN FREE

Just choose your meat / fish / veg additions carefully

If you do prefer coconut based curries, then use the low fat options available. I hear that the coconut yogurt works ok too

If you see that either salt or sugar has been used in any of our kits, it's never more than 1/4 teaspoon
